Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio is delighted to introduce the Blessed John XXIII Senior Services Website, providing all seniors and their families ready access to senior services offered throughout Brooklyn and Queens by the Catholic Church. Seniors and their families can now find information on: Alzheimer’s and dementia services, social services, home care, services for homebound elderly, health insurance hospice care, nursing and rehabilitation programs, affordable senior housing, and senior centers. Visit the Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens home page , the Blessed John XXIII Senior Services link is on the left hand side.

Hispanic Heritage Prayer Group

The Spanish prayer group will meet every Thursday evening in the church at 7:30 PM. If you know of any parishioners who would like to pray in Spanish and join in prayer, inform them of this new group in our parish.

If you wish to try your Spanish on them here are the words:

“Grupo de oracion catolico Todos los jueves a los 7:30 PM, Iglesia Santa Anastasia 245 Street & Northern Blvd. Douglaston, Little Neck.”

Italian Heritage Prayer Group

For sometime St. Anastasia has sponsored a Prayer group for our parishioners of Italian heritage. The group was formed under the patronage of St. Padre Pio.

This Padre Pio Prayer Group meets on the last Friday of each month in our church at 7:30PM Prayers at 7:30 and Mass is celebrated in Italian at 8:00PM.

All are welcome to attend.

 

Mommy and Me

Update: The Mommy and Me Program will change the Day that the group meets back to Wednesdays at 10:00 — 11:30 AM in the After School room.

The St. Anastasia Home School Association is sponsoring a ‘Mommy and Me’ program on Wednesday mornings between 10 and 11:30 AM. You are all invited to join the ‘Mommy and Me’ program to meet and make new friends within our Parish Community.

All parishioners are invited to participate in one or more of the liturgical ministries essential for our weekend Masses, daily Masses and other liturgies; training is provided within the parish. Join our Altar Servers, Choir, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Lectors, Ushers and Hospitality.
