The parish reaches out to the entire community by hosting Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Our Scout programs represent the parish as the sponsor of its community service activities, like food drives, nursing home visits, taking part in Memorial Day service and parade, helping with parish chores, etc. We foster character development and dedication to the central themes of God, nation, and local community. Our fun and exciting activities (including camping) are run over 12 months. Scouting for the boys is up and running, with meetings starting September 9th.
There was a great summer of camping at Alpine or Ten Mile River Scout camps, what fun!
The Boy Scouts meet each week on Sunday (call ahead in case we are camping) at 4:30, in Father Smith Hall. The Cub Scouts also meet weekly in FSH, at 6:15, on Sundays. Scouting at St. Anastasia serves all boys in the community.
