The Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts have been busy meeting parish goals to perform significant community service in your name, over the holidays. The Scouting Program at St. Anastasia was proud to perform yet another food drive at the Stop and Shop, where we collected shopping basket after shopping basket, which benefitted the food pantry at St. Aloysius parish. We also visited the very next day the Little Neck Nursing Home, where we sang holiday songs and Christmas Carols for the residents there. This is our fifteenth consecutive year to do so! The boys and young men are doing great things, and developing character where it counts, right here in our community.
We also invite you to join us at the 10:00 AM Mass on February 7th, where we will celebrate Scout Sunday with our parish community, and also mark the 100th Anniversary of the Scouting Movement in the United States. It is a significant moment to celebrate in the lives of all of our current Scouts and all those who have benefitted from Scouting in the past. Join us in our happiness, and feel free to inquire about our Pack and Troop. Our units are open to all member of the community. Further joining information can also be obtained from the parish Scouting Representative, Tom McGlinchey, at 718-224-9634.
